Seminary Broadcast

Last Sunday night we went to the Seminary Broadcast, it has been 100 years since the 1st Seminary was held.

The first Seminary class was held in 1912 at a home near Granite High School in Salt Lake City, Utah. Thomas J. Yates was hired as the first teacher and taught afternoon classes to 70 students. Last year seminary enrollment was 369, 373 world wide!

Pres. Boyd K. Packer spoke... I took notes and here are a few things that he said...

You are growing up in enemy territory!

Do what is right, let the consequence follow!

Teaching can only go so far. You can, you must, go the rest of the way alone!

When your alone, are you in good company?

When you repent, you will gain a testimony that the church is true.

You are exceptional. How do I know that? You were born now...

It doesn't matter what you will do for a living, what matters is what you will BE.

You will never make a serious mistake without first being warned by the Holy Ghost.

Unworthy people might not feel comfortable around you - the may tease you.

You have the same agency that Adam and Eve had, use it wisely.

Discipline = Disciple.

It is never too late, repentance is like an eraser.

Pick friends that build you up, not bring you down.

It was a GREAT talk and worth your time to read it!!! You can go HERE to read it!
