Every little girl deserves a wonderful father to love and protect her. I have no doubt that your daddy was such a man, who has created many wonderful memories for you. I hope this little gift will always bring these memories to heart and mind.
When I got home from Utah (the funeral) this was on my front porch... The note says, "Remembering a good Texan and a great man! We love you!
My sweet sister in law made this beautiful watch for me... she made a watch to remind me that this is only for "time", not "eternity".... I WILL see him again!
I wish that I had of taken pictures of the flowers that my friends sent! :(
I really appreciate you all for your sweet words, texts, emails, cards, hugs, etc.... I love you all! Friends are so wonderful!!! THANK YOU!!! I LOVE YOU!

take good care of your mama.
Oh, I'm so sorry to hear the news of your father passing. I wondered if maybe he had. I hope you will feel the peace and love that only the Savior brings. Please feel that comfort and know that I'm thinking of you.
Shaila...I am so sorry to hear that your daddy has passed...I loved all the pics you have shared of him and the things he enjoyed...{{Hugs}} to you and your mom.
Shaila,
I am so so sorry to hear of your daddy's passing. And for the lost of a phone call, a kiss and a warm hug, being able to share happy news and sharing a rootbeer float with your dad here on earth.
I too have been through this many years ago my day was hit by a drunk driver at age 57. I can testify that your dad will NOT be far away for special occassions for this I am so grateful. Each of our children felt Dad and his influence with them while on their missions.
I am so grateful for our knowledge and the perfect plan we all hold so dear.
In the temple I really came to know the inner parts of my dad's heart more in death, than in life.
Do take care of your mother...I am praying for you and I love the watch and the meaning behind it. It is TRUE!
Lots of Love!
Shaila, I too, am so sorry to hear about your dad's passing. Even with all the knowledge we have it is still hard.
That little statue is so sweet - the perfect reminder of a special relationship.
God bless.
A precious memory! So wonderful to have friends and family to share the grief. Sharing makes grief easier to handle. One of my favorite scriptures is Ecc. 4:9 "Two are better than one because they have a greater reward for their labor for if the on falls he has the other to lift him up." We know in this life we will often find outselves in a ditch fallen...I am so glad that we have friends to lift us up..dust us off, cry with us and especially pray with us and for us when we cannot pray. I love you sweet Shaila.
I am so sorry to hear about your father. I knew he hadn't been doing well for a while, but I think it is still so difficult to have a parent pass on. How wonderful you have so many kind and thoughtful friends.
I had no idea your Dad passed away, I'm so sorry! How is your Mom holding up?
So glad to hear that so many sweet friends are looking after you. I'm sure they truly are a blessing for you at this difficult time. You'll be in my thoughts and prayers friend. Take care.
Such sweet and tender thoughts. What a blessing to have a relationship with your father that is so hard to see put on hold. So many father-daughter relationships nowadays are not that way. count the blessings with the tears.
That is so sweet! The relationship you share with your dad & the memories of it are so priceless & what a treasure. I am so sorry though of his passing & know that it must be so hard.. You are such a wonderful friend. I hope you are doing ok.
Aren't friends great? How they come in and prop us up when we need it. I'm thinking of you.
My thoughts are with you! This was such a sweet post and I'm so happy you've felt the love of heaven around you during this time.
what special gifts. It makes you realize just how loved and appreciated he was as well as you are!
