I am so jealous I would love an avacado tree!
I'm jealous too! I can't imagine being able to grow those trees. Cali really is the garden of Eden.
Our last house had a lemon and an orange tree. Our neighbors had an avocado and a peach tree. The swapping fruit between houses was wonderful. Sadly our current house has no fruit trees just palm trees and a pool.
So lucky to live where such gold grows on trees! I thought avocados only grew in Walmart!
I would love to have an avocado tree!! We do have the orange and lemon though but avocados are my favorite! Enjoy!
I saw your post title and I just can't get Joyce Kilmer's poem out of my head.
I think that I shall never see
A poem as lovely as a tree.
A tree that looks to God all day and lifts her leafy arms to pray;
A tree that may in summer wear
a nest of robins in her hair
Upon whose bosom snow has lain
Who intimatley lives in rain.
Poems are made by fools like me,
But only God can make a tree.
I think of that poem, especially the last two lines when I see a beautiful tree... or when I go out back and pick a sweet peach off my tree and eat it.
We have lots of fruit trees and I love them! Enjoy!
I really want to plant some orange trees. And a lemon tree. And a grapefruit tree. I need an orchard.
