I can assure you that the greatest responsibility and the greatest joys in life are centered in the family, honorable marriage, and rearing a righteous posterity. ~Ezra Taft Benson

Thoughts from Elder Eyring
Because you are so valuable, some of your trials may be severe! When you walk in the light, you will feel at that moment some of the warmth and happiness that will be yours when you are welcomed home again with the hundreds and perhaps thousands of others whom you will bring, who have walked in the light because YOU DID!
I love this thought. It sincerely makes me want to be a better person so I can help others.
It is a great knowledge in my life to know that we can have light in our lives, even in the worst darkness, if we listen to, and follow the Holy Spirit who helps us to stay close to Christ. If we are close to Christ we become like him and then we can be an example to others. It is such beautiful knowledge and worth staying focused on.
I love this! It made me think of my mom whom we just got back from visiting. She recently had a tiny glimspe... She is certainly one who has followed the light and light surrounds her. I will read this to her tomorrow. Thanks again!
Tonight for FHE we talked about your post, you know asking a question at conference. We went around the table and thought of a question to ask.
Then my sweet 7 year old said the prayer. He restated each question asd asked Heavenly Father to answer these questions in conference. It was the sweetest prayer.
I love love love this quote. I'm gonna copy and put on my blog. My p. blessing says I will be successful in bringing other to the Savior (hubby). It kinda made me tear up a bit. thx
LOVE the quote!! This is very fitting for those moments when we are wondering "why me?" Now there's some type of hope in know that someday the light and peace is not to far off.
I have a WONDERFUL husband who supports me in everything I do! He is a great father! We are so lucky to have him! I love being with him whether it is an exciting trip to Hawaii or just going out for a quick lunch... okay, I even like sitting on the couch watching TV with him! He is the best! We have been blessed with 5 VERY handsome, VERY kind, VERY competitve (haha) SONS! I have loved going to their sporting events and "cheering" them on to victory over the years. Time flies, I have learned to enjoy each and every day! Life is too short! I have been SO blessed! I have 2 beutiful daughters in law whom I am SO grateful for! They are wonderful and add so much joy to my life! I always wanted a daughter and now I have TWO! AND, we have 2 new grandsons who have stole my heart!!! I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I love the youth of the church... trying to help them see the importance of EVERY decision they make! I currently teach institute. I love to play with my kids, GO TO THE BEACH!, garden, go to a movie, go out to eat, travel, and just go out to lunch with my friends!
"You will have significant experiences. I hope that you will write them down and keep a record of them, that you will read them from time to time and refresh your memory of those meaningful and significant things. Some may be funny. Some may be significant only to you. Some of them may be sacred and quietly beautiful. Some may build one upon another until they represent a lifetime of special experience." -Gordon B. Hinckley "Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things." -Robert Brauit "The only way to get through life is to laugh your way through it. You either have to laugh or cry. I prefer to laugh. Crying gives me a headache." -Marjorie Pay Hincklely
"Be kind. Everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle." -Majorie Pay Hinckley
"How did a nice girl like me get into a mess like this?"-Majorie Pay Hinckley
"I don't want to drive up to the pearly gates in a shiny sports car, wearing beautifully, tailored clothes, my hair expertly coiffed, and with long, perfectly manicured fingernails. I want to drive up in a station wagon that has mud on the wheels from taking kids to scout camp. I want to be there with a smudge of peanut butter on my shirt from making sandwiches for a sick neighbors children. I want to be there with a little dirt under my fingernails from helping to weed someone's garden. I want to be there with children's sticky kisses on my cheeks and the tears of a friend on my shoulder. I want the Lord to know I was really here and that I really lived." -Marjorie Pay Hinckley
