Miscellaneous

Chad had Youth Conference a couple of weeks ago. This year they went on "The Pioneer Trek". Chad's favorite parts were shooting muskets and throwing tomahawks. He also said it was really cool when "Joseph Smith", "Porter Rockwell" and "Brigham Young" came to visit them each day!

A group from our ward...

The boys cousin Adam has been here in So Cal the last couple of weeks... he had surgery at UCI Medical Center. We have been up to visit him a few times, this was Sunday afternoon...

After we all got home from the hospital we cooked hamburgers and Polish Sausages on the grill... yum!

Saturday night Dallin and a couple of friends went out herping... he is following in his brother's footsteps... so, Sunday night he had to scare his aunt and grandma a bit by bringing out the King Snake that they had caught...

Here is a pic of a RATTLESNAKE that they caught! Look at their faces, think they were excited?

AND, lastly, Dallin's friend, Kaitlin took this pic... I LOVE it... Thanks, Kaitlin!

OH my MORE SNAKES!! Yikes!! How can you stand it - ha ha.
Treks are just such a great experience. I love hearing the different things other wards and Stakes do. How fun that Joseph Smith, Porter Rockwell and Brigham Young visited each day - I'm sure they had further stories to add.

I love me some Polish Sausages - I just realized it is dinner time.

Good to see you back on the blog once in awhile - Sounds like your summer is happy and great and full of family!

Yikes about the snakes!! Two boys in my neighborhood found a huge king snake and brought it over to show me. I opened my door and let out a scream and slammed the door on them. I hate snakes.

The Pioneer Trek sounded fun. We had ours this summer too. I just went up one day but loved it!

Our youth went on a Pioneer Trek too. I wanted to tell you that my mom just got called to be an institute teacher. She has been teaching seminary for the past 8+ years so this is a very exciting change for her. I told her that you taught institute too. We need to get together for lunch soon. I really want to meet you :)
