YEAH!!! ALL DONE!

YEAH!!! I am soooooooooooo happy!!! Dallin got his Eagle Project finished today!!!! Now we are 4 for 4 with one more to go... the pressure is on Chadman!

Dallin wanted to repaint a US map that was on one of the Elementary school grounds. It was old and worn and a lot of the paint had chipped off... when he contacted the school district about it they were very excited and donated the paint! YEAH!! Thank you to our school district for that!

A few "before" pictures...
Last Saturday they went and "power washed" and cleaned it really well so that the paint would adhere nicely.
Then today we all met and got to work painting...
Almost done!
NICE JOB EVERYONE!!!!
THANK YOU!!!!!Funny thing:
In our household (of all boys) the rule has always been, you cannot drive until you have finished your Eagle Project. Well, they all chose to do them just before turning 18. Fine with us! Saved us money on cars, insurance, and gas! AND, dating... well, they had to double date since THEY could not drive! HAHA!!! IT WAS THEIR CHOICE! Stressed me out every time waiting till the last minute but... they have all earned their Eagle! Congrats Dallin! I am proud of you, it is a lot of hard work!

Great job! Could you please come raise my son that doesn't have a huge interest in scouting? It's like extra homework to him and I have the hardest time getting him motivated. He may not be driving - ever!

Wow, that's awesome! And the finished map looks so great! My elementary school had one of those painted on our blacktop and I loved playing on it.

GREAT JOB! I was so proud of my son when he got his Eagle. It's not easy to do and takes a lot of hard work and dedication. I did very little to help...I told him HE needed to earn it. Looks like you're doing a great job encouraging them along. And that was a really great project. I'm sure the school appreciated it very much!

Congratulations! You must be so proud. It came out very nice too. I think I am going to steal your idea about nor being able to drive until they have their Eagle done. I love it.

The new US map looks great! They really did a nice job.
Hey, thank you so much for your comments on my blog about the baby and for telling me about your nephew. I'm so thrilled to hear he is doing okay with Spina Bifida and getting his license.
I do hope you have a very Merry Christmas with that beautiful family of yours!
Thank you for everything.

Congrats Dally! Great job!!

FYI, I always withhold the license too. Not for the Eagle, I didn't think of that, but it would have been excellent, but for maturity. They must earn it. And the dating thing cracks me up because I always laughed about that when the kiddies were not driving because they CHOSE to slack off and not earn the right to drive. Like you, I'm fine with that!

Kellyn (Vision), 16, with a truck sitting in the drive, is still not driving because she hasn't met our requirements.

Isn't it weird that we live so far away, but being family, we have the same instincts? We are such mean mamas, Shaila. ;)

That is awesome! Congrats Dallin. My hubby stopped at 'Life Scout' and has always wished he'd just finished. You won't ever have to look back and feel that way. Good job!

I like that rule - no driving until you get your Eagle. Congrats to Dallin!

P.S. I tagged you on my blog today.

O.K. now help me here...who got the eagle scout???? looks like a team effort to me and what is that old saying...It takes a woman to get er done. Hurray for mothers. Congrats are in order to you Mom and Dad for making a rule and keeping it. That is what is wrong with the kids today..parents give in when they "whine". I am proud of all of you. That is real team work. Love to all and Merry Christmas...got your card and loved it. Aunt Wonka

Oh, Willie Wonka... with all girls, what do you know about an Eagle? YES, it IS a team effort! It is supposed to be my dear... the scout earning the Eagle plans it out, recruits helpers and then they do it with the "Eagle" overseeing the project! You silly girlie girl! I love you Auntie!

I love it.. I know we are going to have a hard time with our oldest, it's been hard just getting him to get his Webelos... But that is the best idea, that they can't get their license until then. Thanks for the advice...
