This earth is not our home...

I am sitting here working on my Institute lesson for tomorrow night and ran across this great quote... Enjoy!

In the April 2004 general conference address, Elder Bruce C. Hafen declared,

This earth is not our home.
We are away at school,
trying to master the lessons of
“the great plan of happiness”
so we can return home
and know what it means to be there.

I love that last line, and KNOW what it means to be there! Good luck tonight, and I hope today brings forth good news about your daddy.

Love it Shaila. I have been thinking of a way to have the Eternal Perspective of my future home. I want it on my mind. I heard in RS a gal say that we all can't wait to go home. It is comfortable there for us. It is where we first felt safe and loved. It is where we want to be again. I need to seriously connect with that. Thanks for this great quote.

Great thought...reminds me of a recent study I did from 1 John 2:15-17 "Do not love the world nor the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in Him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the pride of life is not from the Father, but is from the world. And the world is passing away, and also its lusts, but the one who does the will of God abides forever."
Shaila, this just makes us all know that this world is not our home...we are just a passing thru... think that is a song. LOL
But, it is kinda hard to remember when we want something we see. LOL
