Prop 8

Last night there were many people from our stake that gathered together for a Prop 8 Rally! We met at the middle school at 4:45 and split up into groups and went and showed our support. We stood at busy intersections and encouraged others to vote YES on Prop 8, restoring the traditional definition of marriage and to protect our school children! We had LOTS Of honking in support and a few that uh.... were NOT supportive! But, overall it was FUN and a memorable experience for our youth! I hope and pray that the people of California will have a softening of heart and realize their morals and standards and vote YES!!!

We are poll watchers today... which means we are assigned to two different polling places and go and check and see who has voted (we have a list of people that told us when we went door to door that they would vote YES on Prop 8) We mark off names who have voted and IF they have NOT voted we either call them and remind them to go vote or take a "door hanger" to put on their front door reminding them! This has been a lot of fun and it will be great memories!

I saw that Prop 8 passed! I'm sure it was largely due to all the fasting and hard work from church members and I think it's awesome!
