Wednesday Writings... not much

My friend, KC Mom, posted a YUMMY chocolate chip pound cake recipe and a CUTE CUTE heart shaped cake pan she got at Wally World (Wal-Mart) HERE. And so of course I ran right down and got the CUTE pan and made her YUMMY recipe! My family loved it. Last night for Institute I used that same great cake pan and made banana bread in it! And I poured cream cheese frosting over it... it was a hit! Here is a picture and the recipe:Banana Bread:
3/4 c. Butter
1 1/2 c. Sugar
4 mashed Bananas
1 t. vanilla
2 eggs
1/2 c. Milk (add 1 T. vinegar and set aside)
1/2 t. Salt
1 t. Soda
2 C. flour
Mix all together and bake at 350° for about 45 min. (check with a fork to make sure it is done all the way through).

Icing: I didn't measure... just used powder sugar, cream cheese, milk and vanilla...
ENJOY!
OH. MY. GOSH. I just found out that KC MOM is doing a give away of THIS great heart shaped pan!!! Go HERE to enter to win!!!

I am sooooooooo hoping they will still have some pans left! I almost bought it a week ago, but thought I would wait until after V-day and maybe they would clearance them out. They probably sold them all today!

I will let ya know if I get one!

Thanks for the recipes too!

The Taco Feed is a family fav and one of my specialties. They are not cooked in the oven though - that would be nice!
I use either shredded beef or pork (I usually cook a beef brisket or boneless pork ribs in the crock pot and then shred it with 2 forks) or just plain hamburger works great too. I use the small white corn tortillas and put a little meat in and fry them up till they are golden brown (a couple minutes on both sides -just a 1/4 inch of oil in the bottom of pan). I fry them up and put them on a cookie sheet, bring them to the table and they are gone in minutes. They are greasy but oh so delicious!

OH my GOSH! I am so excited I saw this post because I have been drooling over that pan ever since I saw it at Wallies. I didn't want to spend full price on it (I am cheap like that!) and wanted to wait until after VD and I forgot! I am sooooooo happy I saw this post the other day because I ran into Wallies on Monday and they still had some! I bought all four! I am going to give them as gifts! ANd I only paid $8.50! WOO-HOO!!!! Right now at this very minute I am making the chocolate cake on the blog you linked to! I am already drooling!

THANKS again. I may have to do a post on this too!
