When the kids got tired Abby took them back to my house and Karen and I took some engagement pics for my niece and her fiance. Well, I call her my niece, because her mom (MY cousin) and I are SO close, she is like the sister I never had! Here is one of the shots of them that I got. There were lots of great ones, it will be interesting to see which ones they choose to use!
BUT the MOST exciting part (sorry kids) was just as we were getting ready to leave... WE SAW A POD OF DOLPHINS!!!!! IT was so awesome!!! They were swimming north... I was so tempted to follow them and keep taking pics!!!

and seeing those Dolphins...WOW! THAT is awesome!!!!
Looks like you have a lot of fun!!!
Shaila, I'm just impressed that you used the word "pod" when referring to the group of dolphins. Not that I don't expect that from you, but...you know... Anyway, looks like everyone had an awesome time, and things are coming along nicely for Lindsay and Brady.
Looks like GREAT fun! Will be fun to see which one they choose!
Wow, no one at the beach! You should post one of you and Karen!
OMG that would happen, Everytime I come with Ya'll to the beach I always look for Dolphins but they are never there, Lucky! Anywayz the engagement pics look cute, We wish we were there we miss you guys a ton!! Love ya!
How cool. Dolphins. I've never seen them "for real". Only at the zoo or aquarium. Sounds like a great time.
Thanks for stopping by my blog. I'm alway excited to read a new blog. Love yours. I'll be back.
The pic of your clock wall might be changing my life as I type. I'll have to ponder on it awhile. You see, I have a problem too. I love to make clocks. THe only problem is, you can only give so many away or sell so many. Now I can make them and keep them. How did I never hear of this genius before?
Awww, that's Awesome that you got to see those dolphins! What a great highlight to your day! And that is a really beautiful beach. Which one is it?
Jan, I love that checker board too, it is my sister in law's, she bought it at the beach!
Jeff, hello! I DID raise Devin! LOL I have to tell you a funny... your mom was here this weekend, we went to get in the car, she started into the garage and had a, well, what DID she have??? a heart attack??? LOL... she saw the snake cage and about died! Cracks me up... she raised YOU, right???
Uh, Pam, uh, NO, not posting a swim suit pic of me and karen, although I DO have a funny one!!!
Diana!!! I miss you!!!
Jennifer, you MAKE clocks!!! I want pics!!! Hey, I got an idea! Maybe you should have a give away on your blog!!! °Ü°
Ashley, the beach was Aliso beach, just south of Laguna!
I LOVE dolphins! When I was younger I wanted to be a marine biologist. Looks like everything was WAY fun! Aren't family reunions THE BEST!!!
I'm cracking up over Jeff's comment. That sounds like something my brother would say to me.
Glad you had fun at the beach.. nice engagement photo!
I'm jealous about the dolphins. I'm a freak about seeing animals unexpectedly.
Come on... post the funny one! If not on the blog, then email it to me!
beautiful picture ... go shaila! the beach looks sounds so nice right now and of course i wish i were there with you!
I absolutely love beach pictures! I have taken a few 1000, literally between family pics, dolphin pics, sand pics and sunsets and sunrises. Yeah, you get the picture! LOL, I love the engagement pics. I hope you post more! Last summer our family vacationed on Mexico Beach, near panama florida and we saw many dolphins! They were so close and are so beautiful, we could walk out to where they were.
I had the same thought when I read Jen H's comment! I have a clock wall. I will post a pic of it as soon as I get my vinyl lettering ordered. I have decided on For Time and all eternity. I love clocks and I love photography. I have many family portraits and temple pictures that I have taken. So, the pics will intermingle between the clocks! The best of two worlds.
Look like you had a great time! I wish I could have been there, I have been missing the beach SOOO much lately! But who knows, maybe we wont be AS far away from the beach soon :) LOVED the engagement picture too!
Shaila, wow, I can picture my mom's exact reaction...haha! I had forgotten about the snake cage in the garage. I should ask my mom if she knows what a group of dolphins is called.
I love Dolphins - and what a FUN trip you had!
p.s.
Thanks for the comment on my blog! :)
Keep up the good work.
