It's 5:00 Somewhere...

I have had several of my friends tell me that I need to post a picture of my clock wall. So, here it is....

How did this come to be you might ask? I have a sickness... I LOVE clocks! THERE. I admitted it. That is the first step, right??!!!

One day I was looking through a magazine and there was a picture of a clock wall! No way! I. ABOUT. DIED. (Did I mention that I LOVE clocks???) So, the obsession began.... Wait. It had already began but I just didn't know what to do about it. Now I did! And, so, the clock wall began! My sickness for EVERYONE to SEE!

Then, we had enrichment night here. One of the sisters in our ward (that I really look up to) said to me, "Wow, Shaila, I am so surprised that you like clocks so much, time is such a mortal thing." uh, wow... uh... I didn't know what to say!!! I laid in bed that night and thought and thought about how mortal I was!!! HAHAHA!!! Yep, that is me, MORTAL! Does that mean I am worldly? Does that mean I am not spiritual? What did that mean??!!!

So... I have a friend that does vinyl lettering... and I had her do the letters, "I need Thee every hour" GET IT??!!! okay, so now I am mortal AND spiritual!!! LOL....

I love that you love clocks...because so do I. I've also thought about doing a post about it. It's made me wonder why I have such an obsession with clocks...and time. Who knows...I just love clocks that's all!

Hi, I was just nosing around on LDS Women Blogs site. I'm not a stalker or anything :-) but I thought your post on your clock wall was fascinating and worth a comment. I think it's great when people have unique hobbies. It makes life so much more interesting.

Perfect quote for the time wall. I think it is fantastic that you went with a collection of something you love. I honestly have never seen a clock wall. I love clocks too. I just get "ticked" at how fast time flies. I am having my husband make just some large clock hands and have the on the wall and say a time quote too. Life time and all eternity. Or time flies when your having fun. I am with you on that quote thing about time.

I love what you did and I am a mortal too. Oh yeah, I went there.

I have such a thing for clocks too! I don't have that many of them yet, but I do have a few scattered throughout my house that are unique and I'm so proud of them! I love the words on the wall and love your clock wall! Maybe someday I'll have one. :) I have an obsession with fun clocks and also with fun lamps. Do you love lamps too? I'm not sure if the obsessions go together or not.

I clicked from a link on redhoodoos blog. I love your clock wall. I have a clock love too and after seeing your perfect phrase to go with it, I may have to snag it.

You would love the hotel we stayed at in SLC a couple weeks ago, they had a clock wall in the lobby!

Shaila, I love your clock wall, and I think it is so not-mortal at all. But that's just me. It is a sweet and powerful reminder that we do need Him every hour (every second). I love your blog, it is so uplifting. And when did Dallin get "big enough" to take an AP class???? Love ya!

LOVE your clock wall. I love that it is YOUR own personal touch to your home. LOVE the words!

That wall looks fabulous! Since my hubby is a pilot, I think we'd have to have some of the clocks set on different time zones so we'd know what time it was where he is.

I love the quote. My friend has a similar wall with "Time doth softly sweetly glide", but I think I like yours better.

Wow, you do LOVE clocks. I think the obsession has started with me. Every time I see a unique clock I want it. My MIL loves clocks too and buys us one for each of the holidays. In fact, she just gave us a Halloween clock. At every hour is makes scary noises. The kids just love it. :-)
