Sneak Peak!

As most of you know my dad has been diagnosed with bile duct cancer. He started his radiation yesterday. He got 2 doses yesterday and he is getting 2 today. Then he is through!

A little over a week ago my family all met there at my mom and dads. And we had a nice big family portrait taken. We have been wanting to do this for years. My parents, my brother, his wife and 4 kids, and my family. That is everyone. Our sweet photographer, Brieanne, sent me a sneak peak this morning. I was SO excited I just had to post it! I can't wait to see all the others!!! THANK YOU BRIEANNE!!!
(IF you look close (FAR RIGHT) ...Blake has on a pair of Grandpa's boots that he gave him just that morning! He was stoked to get them!)

“But whatever the era, whatever the times, one thing will never change: Fathers and mothers, if you have children, they must come first. You must read to your children and you must hug your children and you must love your children. Your success as a family, our success as a society, depends not on what happens in the White House but on what happens inside your house.” Barbara Bush

(And, might I add.... PARENTS)

I love the photo. You all look great. The colors you picked are perfect. Where did you go for the photo?

YES! We must hug our kids and read to them and love them and put them first and turn off the TVs and listen to them, etc. Our success as a society depends on this! I believe this with all my heart. m

I love this message so much. That Barbara was a first lady. Strong first lady.

This photo of your family is the purest treasure. BEAUTIFUL. The whole meaning and thought behind it, is what makes it magic and enduring forever. This photo means everything that is good and holy. Shaila, my thoughts are with so much. I know how difficult it is to watch your parents go through so much.

Have a lovely day hugging those you love.

It should be illegal for a family to be this beautiful! :)
What a great group you have there! It's amazing that everyone had a great smile-I don't think we have one family photo where someone isn't doing something corny! :) (usually me) :)

It's beautiful! Everyone looks great! It's amazing to have everyone in the picture. that's always the hardest part for our family. I hope someday to make that happen (after John's mission). I'm praying for you all. Love, Kelley

Beautiful Shaila! I'm so glad you were able to have that done.

I love when people who aren't our same faith, understand and realize just how important the family is. That is a great quote.

Hugs and prayers to your Dad and your family.
